Susan Alpert, Ph.D., M.D., is the principal of SFADC LLC (SFA Regulatory, LLC), a consulting firm focused on strategies for placing medical devices and products in global markets. She was a Senior Vice President for Global Regulatory at Medtronic and VP of Regulatory Science at C.R. Bard. Previously, she worked at the US FDA in various management roles, including Director of the Office of Device Evaluation (1993-1999). Susan is a microbiologist and pediatrician specializing in infectious diseases. She holds degrees from Barnard College, New York University, and the University of Miami. She serves on several nonprofit and for-profit boards.
